Profound, Breaking Ground…

To Speak or Not to Speak: About

Writing for me is about tackling the issues that you find are important, as well as a medium to channel your angst and frustrations into potential energy. The things you see, hear, taste, smell and feel everyday electrify your thoughts and all too often it can be an overload of information, leading to insanity. Many of you might know what I mean by that, especially when you consider the connectivity we have in the world. The ability for us to finally realize the problems that face society as a whole, in a united fashion is not necessarily new, but the idea of it is only now being fully explored and implemented. As a result, there are many of us who feel we want to impact or influence the situations and problems we see in society, but also feel unable to. The power of though, and connectivity is a way to get through that.

For me, this will be a spot to speak about the issues I feel are important and need addressing. In this way, I hope to reach an audience of people who feel the same as myself, in order to communicate similar, or even opposing viewpoints on those same issues, to get the people talking.

With that said, this connectivity we’ve come across has also become a source of disconnection, and that is something I will also address in my blogs. Instead of feeling content in my online diatribes, I will also disclose my specific actions taken regarding the issues, and make recommendations for other readers to get involved as well. Pointing out ways to physically get out there, I think, is an important part of any type of online activism. Just the same, if I write something but have left out any action plan, and someone who reads knows of a contact that can be reached to help with the issue, sharing that would be phenomenal!

Thanks for reading!
