Political Activity

On top of trying to stay active on my blog, I’m trying to stay active in politics. I’ve been in touch with Darlene Jalbert, who is on the local NDP executive committee, and this week my goal is to explore what I have to do to be a part of more current activities in our area, and how to encourage young people to voice their concerns about the government.

Jack Layton seems focused on building a stronghold in Quebec, and it seems he feels that’s where most of his support lies, but I hope he realizes there’s a strong following in him throughout Canada, despite what our first past the post polls suggest.

Hopefully we can build the strength of our opposition by standing with them, and keep Canada clean of greedy corporate agenda’s.
